[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] "You were selected at random when you were born. You were taken away from your parents, and they were killed. You were given an injection which changed your DNA structure and gave you powers. You were given to a surroget father called you Guardian. You travelled the world with him until you reached the age of 13. You were then taken away from him and put on a ship with other children aged 13. You were trained to fight on that ship, trained to fight the only true evil being. Am I correct?" "Yes." SPOILER: This is the actual storyline. It's quite complicated. There has been a war going on for 35 years between two species of aliens, the evil aliens being called the 'Only True Evil'. One of the sides has recuted human babies to fight. They give the babies an injection which changes their DNA structure and gives them 'super-powers'. They have to be trained for 13 years with the past generation of humans that were taken by the aliens (Guardians). But the Guardians have to be male because the aliens think males are superior to females. Neida (Nee-da) and her Guardian, Damon (Day-muhn) have travelled the world for 13 years. They are like father and daughter, but ovbiously aren't. They go to a meeting in New York and it's the one telling them about the ship and when to send her up. But Neida isn't allowed in the meeting, like always, and Damon decides not to mention it to Neida, so she just thinks it's a normal meeting. A few weeks later, they run into a bunch of the 'Only True Evil's' minions. They were sent to prevent Damon from being able to send Neida to the ship. As Neida and Damon fight off the minions, the time comes to send her up and Damon is forced to stop using his powers on the oncoming force of minions so he can use all his energy in sending Neida up to the ship. As she is being flung up, she sees Damon be killed by the overpowering amount of minions. For the main part of the film, it focuses on Neida and how she copes with the loss of the only person she has ever loved, while also looking at the way the children are trained. She has a relationship with someone called Kaine, but it's just a fling, there is no love between them. As it come's to the end of the movie, the children are finaly sent to fight the monions and the 'Only True Evil'. Kaine is killed at the begining, as are a others. Over the war, most on both sides are killed. Then right at the end, Neida is shot and as she is dying, the 'Only True Evil' is shot by another child. Neida dies knowing they won. The screen goes white and Neida is crumpled on the floor, crying. Damon holds out his hand and says something like "It's alright, you're safe now" And standing behind him is Kaine and the rest of the children who died, and Neida's parents, also. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] Scene 1 Opens on a view of a door, close up. A hand reaches forward (Only the hand showing) and knocks. The hand is then taken away. A 5 second gap. Damon opens the door, shirt off with scruffy hair. His hand rubbing the back of his neck. And he looks to the person who knocked, his gaze slightly to the left of the camera. View changes to a shot over Damon’s shoulder. We can now see Neida as she rolls her eyes. Neida: “Who did you pick up this time, Damon?” She enters the room, walking past Damon, and we can see she is holding a pile of clothes. Damon: “A very nice woman actually, Neida” Neida (expression obviously showing she wants to change subjects): “Get your clothes on. (Hands Damon the pile of clothes) It’s 8 o’clock and we need to be in New York for 12” Damon (looking at the woman in the bed): “I can’t just leave her” Neida: “Yes. Yes you can. Hurry up” Damon (Putting on shirt, then trousers): “What are we going to New York for anyway?” Neida (with a sigh): “That meeting thing. (and more impatiently) But I’m not allowed in.” Damon (anxiously): “Oh doughnut sprinklez! We’re gonna’ be so late!” Neida: “Yeah, I know. Let’s go” Neida turns and leaves. Damon takes his wallet from atop the dresser and replaces it with a $10 for the woman. He puts a bag from the floor on his back and follows the girl out. The door closes and the screen goes black. The words “Waiting for you” gradually fade in on the screen in a light brown color, while the music is an echoey hum. Scene 2 Opens on a profile view of Neida’s face, with a slight frown. View changes further away from her face, and we can see she is sitting on a chair. She is looking straight forward. Screen changes so we can see through Neida’s eyes, to Kaine, who is twiddling his thumbs nervously, in the chair on the opposite side of the room. People are walking past the screen, making the scene look busy, but the focus is on Kaine. Screen then goes back to original view of Neida, still with the same expression. Scene 3 Neida and Damon are walking away from the building they were just in, and into a park. Neida looks happy, but Damon has his head down and is frowning. Neida (Oblivious): “What happened? What did you talk about?” Damon (Quickly): “Nothing” Neida stops walking and looks at Damon, realising something is wrong. Damon looks up and stares right into Neida’s eyes. Neida (Inquisitively): “What did you talk about?” Damon: “I already said, nothing.” Neida: “But I know something is wrong.” Damon (Dismissively): “It doesn’t concern you.” Neida (Impatiently): “Everything to do with you concerns me” Damon: “Well, this doesn’t.” Damon begins to walk again. Neida(Quietly): “But-“ Damon turns back and walks back over to Neida. He gets down on one knee and cups her face in his hands. Damon (Softly): “Hay, you gotta’ trust me on this one. Nothing is wrong; it was just some boring meeting about how you all are getting on” Neida (After a pause): “Okay, I trust you” Damon: “Good. Now, let’s get out of this damned city” Neida nods. Damon stands up and they carry on walking. After a few seconds Neida asks; Neida: “Where’s the next meeting then?” Damon (obviously hiding something, thinks of an excuse quickly): “Erm... Huston” Neida: “In Texas?” Damon (Struggling to lie): “...Yeah” Neida (Bluntly): “They do pick some random places” Damon doesn’t reply. They carry on walking in silence. Scene 4 View of a bow-tie being straightened. View changes to further away, we can see Damon looking into a mirror, in a suit. From the toilet room, Neida comes out in a purple dress at knee length. She smiles up at Damon as he turns to face her, and he smiles back. Damon: “You look lovely, Neida” Neida (Looking embarrassed): “Thanks. (Then after a pause)Why are we going to a wedding when we don’t even know who is getting married?” Damon: “I need to meet with Tristan. One of his friends is getting married, and this is the only time we can talk before him and Kaine go off to Africa” Neida (Sounding disappointed): “They’re going to Africa?” Damon: “You’ll see them at (He pauses)... The next meeting” Neida: “I guess so” Damon: “Now then-“ Damon holds out his hand for Neida to take. She takes it with a laugh. Damon: “-Let’s get ourselves to this wedding” They walk out the door, Damon closing it behind them. There is a 2 second pause with the view still on the door.
